The All People’s Congress (APC) has officially opened its first party office in Constituency 072, Masiaka, Koya Chiefdom, Port Loko District. The ceremony was presided over by APC flagbearer aspirant Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban.
The event drew a large turnout of APC supporters and senior party officials, including Acting National Chairman Alhaji Foday Yaseneh, National Public Relations Officer Yayah Tunis, Regional Chairman Hon. Kombor Kamara, and other executives and stakeholders from across the country.
Welcoming guests, Constituency 072 Chairman Comrade Hassan Kamara praised Jagaban for what he described as his “unwavering support” to Port Loko District and the APC at large.

Speakers at the event highlighted Kamara’s contributions to the party and local communities. Comrade Alie Sumah noted that Jagaban had provided NLe 2 billion in soft loans to women in Port Loko, in addition to funding educational programs, religious institutions, fishermen, teachers, and people with disabilities. He has also supported APC grassroots members, councillors, parliamentarians, and other stakeholders nationwide.
National Spokesman of the Jagaban Movement, Saidu Gibril Buzzum Kamara, said the APC had faced “difficult times” but described Jagaban as “the right person to save the party and the country from poverty.” He cited the movement’s initiatives in agriculture, youth empowerment, disability support, and community development.
Acting Chairman Yaseneh commended the initiative, stressing that the APC had not had an office in Masiaka for more than three decades. “Until now when Jagaban has done that, the party has been absent here. We appreciate this historic step,” he said.
In his keynote address, Jagaban expressed gratitude to party members and supporters, stressing loyalty to the APC regardless of who eventually emerges as flagbearer. “I am in support of any flagbearer aspirant chosen by the APC. I am a child of the APC Party, and I will always put the interest of the party and Sierra Leone first,” he said.

He added that he was committed to creating opportunities for youth, students, bike riders, and other citizens, stressing that his resources should be used to uplift communities. “God has blessed me with money, and I want to see people happy. I will answer to God if I do not do the right thing for Mama Salone,” he said.
The ceremony ended with the symbolic handover of keys to the newly established office, involving senior party executives, regional leaders, and the project builder.
