Kingho Mining Company, a subsidiary of Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG), has disbursed a total of NLe 1,810,203 in surface rent to Sambaia and Dansogoia Chiefdoms in Tonkolili District.
The payments, made under the Mines and Minerals Act of 2009, were presented at separate ceremonies in the two chiefdoms. Sambaia Chiefdom received NLe 1,010,845 while Dansogoia Chiefdom collected NLe 799,358.
The events were attended by Paramount Chief Alhaji Musa Banbaforay Kolio Jalloh III of Sambaia Chiefdom, Paramount Chief Alimammy Bockarie Yallan Koroma III of Dansogoia Chiefdom, landowners, community stakeholders, and local representatives.

Speaking on behalf of the company, Community Manager Alusine A. Sesay said the payments reflected Kingho’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and peaceful coexistence with host communities.
“This gesture reflects Kingho Mining Company’s desire to strengthen its partnership with the people, ensuring that our operations contribute positively to community development,” Sesay stated.
The Paramount Chiefs commended the company for fulfilling its legal and social responsibility, noting that the payments help build trust and support local development.
Official documentation of entitlement was signed by the Paramount Chiefs and landowners’ representatives to confirm receipt of the funds.
Kingho Mining Company assured communities of its continued commitment to meeting obligations and contributing to development initiatives in its operational areas.
