SLFA President, Acting Secretary Attend CAF Extraordinary General Assembly in Cairo

Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President Thomas Daddy Brima and Acting General Secretary Mohamed Benson Bawoh are currently in Cairo, Egypt, participating in the 14th Confederation of African Football (CAF) Extraordinary General Assembly.

The assembly is hosting crucial elections for the CAF President, CAF Executive Committee, and CAF Representatives to the FIFA Council for the 2025-2029 term.

Brima and Bawoh are actively engaged in the electoral process, ensuring Sierra Leone’s representation in key football governance discussions. Their participation underscores SLFA’s commitment to being part of Africa’s football leadership and decision-making.

Meanwhile, SLFA has extended support to former SLFA President Isha Johansen, who is seeking re-election as a FIFA Council Member. If successful, Johansen’s continued presence on the Council would strengthen Africa’s influence in global football governance.

With voting underway, the outcomes of the CAF General Assembly will shape African football’s leadership for the next four years. SLFA remains dedicated to fostering football development at both national and international levels.
